The Environmental Working Group (EWG) evaluates products in their “Skin Deep” database using a scale from 1 to 10, where 1 signifies the lowest hazard level and 10 indicates the highest. Products rated yellow fall within a moderate hazard range, scoring between 3 and 6, while red-rated items have scores ranging from 7 to 10.
The EWG has published a study featuring these statistics (and more).
The EWG is an excellent resource for discovering the contents of your products and food! You can visit their website: here
Consumer Safety:
Glass does not leach harmful chemicals into its contents, unlike many plastics, which release substances like BPA and phthalates.
These chemicals can have adverse effects on human health, including endocrine disruption, reproductive toxicity, and increased risk of certain cancers.
Environmental Impact:
Glass can be Re-Used & Recycled.
Glass is 100% recyclable and can be recycled indefinitely without losing quality. In contrast, only about 9% of plastic is recycled globally.
Glass can be reused on average 20-50 times, whereas plastics often degrade after a few uses
The goal of Clean Slate Essentials is to always offer the highest quality products at fair prices.
To uphold this commitment, CSE has "Transparent Pricing" for each product. This concept ensures that you know exactly what you are paying for—quality materials and craftsmanship—rather than inflated prices due to high profit margins.
